Milan Expo attracted 21 million visitors to the city in 2015 and has now become a successful catalyst for social and economic growth for the country. The former expo site, situated 15km north west of Milan, is currently undergoing transformation into a world-leading district for science, knowledge and innovation.

With its diverse tenants and land uses, it will become a ‘city within a city’, playing host to its own innovative ecosystem. Maynard is excited to announce that we have been commissioned to create an experience-led wayfinding solution for the site. Our focus is to create a system that looks beyond navigating from A to B. It should not only attract and support visitors into and across the site, but engage and inspire familiar users to encourage and foster creativity and innovation from the people who live and work there on a daily basis.
