St John & St Elizabeth Hospital has appointed Maynard to deliver a ‘people first’ wayfinding system to enhance the user experience of its patients, staff and visitors.

St John & St Elizabeth Hospital is one of London’s leading charitable hospitals providing exemplary standards of care to patients. Located in the heart of St John’s Wood it is renowned for its friendly atmosphere, industry-leading consultants and its caring and compassionate ethos.

The hospital recently completed a £3.5m ward refurbishment programme and is now realising a c.£40m redevelopment over the coming year. Including state-of-the-art upgrades alongside new hi-tech healthcare services, it will be the most significant infrastructure project in the charity’s rich 165-year history.

Maynard has been selected to revisit and upgrade the hospital’s wayfinding infrastructure, aligning it with the ambition of the redevelopment programme and the hospital’s recent brand refresh. Inspired by the charity’s ethos of ‘putting people first’, our user centred design approach will look to humanise information from the start. Our vision is to deliver a system that will reflect the organisation’s personality and its community-driven services; a system that is friendly, engaging, helpful and trustworthy to all.
