Urban Cycle Programme
Maynard was tasked with developing and documenting a comprehensive wayfinding strategy for an array of safe cycle routes across urban and suburban areas of Tāmaki Makaurau | Auckland.

Our approach leveraged existing signage installations, user insights and our experience developing signage for other transport modes in the AT network. It also aimed to future-proof the cycle network, considering confirmed future cycleways within a reorganised holistic destination hierarchy.
The outcome sets a new benchmark for consistency of cycle wayfinding in Tāmaki Makaurau, while enhancing the visibility of route infrastructure, getting more people onto the growing path network.
