With health and well-being at its heart, Maynard was initially commissioned to create a set of walking and cycling maps for Ebbsfleet to support its objective of achieving a shift to 40% of journeys being made by active travel modes. The maps were to focus on the key delivery themes, namely to: connect people and places, create healthy environments and build civic communities.

Following the success of the mapping exercise, Maynard was subsequently commissioned to develop an overarching walking and cycling wayfinding blueprint for Ebbsfleet for the next 20 years. We delivered a strategy which responds to the area’s developing characteristics, and is designed to meet the needs of all existing and future communities in order to remain relevant and successful in the long term.
