Design Junction Wayfinding Strategy
For Design Junction 2017, Maynard were commissioned to develop a wayfinding strategy to help visitors navigate the leading contemporary interior design exhibition. The event showcases the best in furniture, lighting and product design from around the world during the annual London Design Festival.
The event attracted more than 28,000 visitors over five days on and around five destinations across Granary Square in King’s Cross, meaning it was essential that visitors could find their way between the different exhibits. Another challenge was to get visitors from Kings Cross station to the entry point near Granary Square.
Strategically placed signage created a trail of information for visitors to follow when approaching and around the show. The highlight yellow selected by design studio BCMH created a common thread and brand identity throughout the event.
Maynard are also developing the wayfinding strategy for Design Junction 2018 in it's new sites at London's South Bank.
