Cambridge Biomedical Campus
Cambridge Biomedical Campus combines world-class biomedical research, patient care and education on a single site. Undergoing a major expansion that includes the colocation of companies alongside healthcare professionals and research scientists, the Campus is on track to becoming one of the leading biomedical centres in the world.
Rapid growth of the site in recent years created an opportunity for the campus to reassess how staff, visitors, patients and others travel in and around the site. Maynard was commissioned to develop a wayfinding strategy and plan for implementation to support navigation across the campus’ many buildings, encouraging sustainable travel and bringing together it’s growing community of tenants.
The strategy needed to support both newly developed areas of the site alongside existing medical facilities including Addenbrooke’s and Royal Papworth Hospital, all while considering the future expansion of the site.
