Southampton City Council and Hampshire County Council worked together to establish My Journey, a campaign funded by the Department for Transport’s Local Transport Fund.
We were briefed to design a logo, brand language and guidelines for the campaign.
Following a series of exploratory workshops, a warm and engaging logotype was created that communicates the essence of the brand through the use of directional arrows. The identity is supported by a dynamic visual language based on a hand-drawn illustrative style.
The work has gone on to be successfully implemented across Southampton and the Hampshire county.
The initiative encourages less car use and more active lifestyles through increased walking, cycling, public transport or car sharing. Maynard were briefed to design a brand identity and visual language with supporting guidelines for the campaign.
The campaign has been welcomed by the public and has also contributed to Southampton being voted Transport City of the Year 2013.
