Team Maynard rides the Olympic Park Arcelormittal Orbit Slide!

Recently Team Maynard visited the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to ride the almighty Arcelormittal Orbit slide!

Earlier this year the Arcelormittal Orbit observation tower, designed by Anish KapoorCecil Balmond and built for the 2012 Olympics, undertook a transformation to become the world’s tallest and longest tunnel slide at 178m long.

The slide itself was designed by Carsten Höller, an installation artist who has also designed slides for the London Southbank in 2015 as part of his Decision exhibition, and the Tate Modern back in 2006.

The journey down is 40 seconds long, which we can confirm feels like a very long time to be sliding!
